The following are minimum requirements for the theme to operate correctly online.

• PHP >= 5.1
• MySQL >= 5.0
• Wordpress 3.8 or above.

Attention Please make sure you have proper version of wordpress installed.

Javascript must be enabled on browsers viewing this theme. Though non-javascript browsers are supported, this is necessary for full-feature experience.

In case if you can't check the screencast, following are the key points of the installation:

Following are the key points of the installation:

1. Unzip the package downloaded from Themeforest and locate the file SmartOn.zip. This archive contains theme's core files you need to upload to your server.
2. Upload "SmartOn.zip" file to your server via FTP or Wordpress admin UI.
3. Go to Appearance => Themes on admin panel, locate "SmartOn" theme and activate it. Once activated, you will be redirected to "SmartOn" option panel. Click "Save" once to save the default values.
4. Import the sample contents file. This step is described in details in this section. Note that sidebar widgets won't be imported so you have to add them manually.
5. Once you have succesfully imported the sample content, static home page should be set. To accomplish this, head on to FAQ section and follow the instructions under Question 1.
6. Go to SmartOn => General settings tab in your admin panel and set your own values (logo, main color, and all other available options)..
7. Go to Appearance => Customize section in your admin panel to use the live customizer in case if you need to make any changes to theme design. Loads of options are available to change via the easy to use user interface.

Setting up one of theme variations

SmartOn comes with 4 variations to choose from along with the main theme setup - Smart Agency, Smart Construction, Smart Hotel and Smart Restaurant. If you would like to install one of these variations instead of the basic one, please follow these steps:

1. Open the "sample content" folder which comes with theme download package. You can find folders for all variations there. Choose the desired one and open the folder.
2. Find the override.css file and replace it with theme's root folder's override.css file (or copy the content and paste there).
3. Import the sample content xml file - you can follow the main setup video guide for this, just make sure to import the sample_content.xml file of corresponding variation folder, not the main theme one.
4. Install the revolution slider plugin and import its sample content from the same folder(optional)

Creating a child theme

The theme comes with sample minimal child theme folder which you can find in the archive downloaded from themeforest. You can use it as a starting point to create your child themes.
